I am an “out-of-network” provider.
Depending on your health insurance benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement.
I highly recommend calling your insurance provider before beginning services to clarify if they cover mental health therapy as an out-of-network benefit.

As an out-of-network provider, I am happy to provide a superbill (i.e. itemized receipts of services) for you, by request, at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance company for any reimbursement for sessions that you have already paid for.
I cannot guarantee approval or reimbursement for any claims by your insurance provider.

Questions to Consider Asking Your Insurance Provider:

What are my out-of-network benefits for mental health services?

Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

What is my yearly deductible? How much of my deductible has been met at this time?

Once I meet my deductible, how much coverage will I have for mental health services?

How do I submit superbills for reimbursement?

Need help with using your out-of-network benefits?

I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. This is solely a resource for you. I do not benefit from you using it or not.

planner/calendar which an individual may use to keep track of mental health therapy appointments with a mental health therapist in the San Francisco Bay Area, California

I require at least 48 hours notice to cancel a scheduled appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment or do not show up, that will be considered a late cancellation as well. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the cost of session unless you would endanger yourself by attempting to attend session or you or someone you take care of has suddenly become ill.

You will not be able to schedule another appointment if you have a pending balance.

Cancellation and No-Show Policies

Hi, I’m Gina. It’s an honor to meet you.

Gina Li, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/ Therapist, California

I am a licensed mental health therapist based in the Bay Area, who specializes in helping young adults, Asian Americans, and caregivers throughout California, break the cycles of intergenerational and relational trauma so that they can live truly more fulfilling lives. This can look like being more gentle with ourselves and others, while also setting boundaries as needed. It can also look like gaining greater self-awareness and true confidence. In summary, this looks like learning how to stay grounded in who we genuinely are and who we genuinely want to be.
